Cast steel balls (cast grinding balls) are made by heating scrap steel, scrap iron and other waste materials in a medium frequency electric furnace to fully melt the materials. During the melting process, a proper amount of precious metal alloys (such as ferrochrome, ferromanganese, ferrovanadium, etc.) are added to the furnace for chemical composition tempering. When the molten iron temperature reaches above 1550℃ and meets the process requirements, the qualified molten iron is poured into the steel ball mold or the steel ball production line mold. The steel balls produced by casting and melting are cast steel balls.
